My Guitar Jeff Picked Out

The above was Jeff Weber's Music Lesson ad. I haven't changed it at all. Sometime in 1988, I found a flyer and pulled a phone number off it, when I was just 16 and wanting to learn guitar. He went with my mother and I to pick out my first guitar (seen with me above) way back when at that little music shop in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. Although I stopped taking lessons from him in early 1990, I always kept in touch with him from time to time over the years. In 1991, I began a series of workshops/jam sessions with him, for his students. Myself and a few other musicians, would provide the backing for his students to get the feel of being in a band. We played a couple of house parties without a drummer, and had the occasional jam at someone's house. I always remember having fun at those sessions. What you just heard was Jeff singing and playing guitar, back in 1994. If you want to hear Jeff again, hit REFRESH. We all have to leave at some point. Unfortunately, in the August of 2002, my friend succumbed to cancer. He will be missed, but remembered by many. I'll always remember Jeff as being a good teacher, and a good friend. He was very supportive of my musical efforts, and did come to see a few of my bands. Come to think of it, he probably saw more of my bands over the years than anyone else (Obscurity in 1991 or 1992, Random Eye in 1997, and Left Out Lamont in 1999).
